Environmental sustainability practices and offshoring activities of multinational corporations across emerging and developed markets

Using panel data of 1080 multinational corporations (MNCs) from the United States, we examine effects environmental sustainability practices on degree firms’ offshoring activities. In addition, disaggregate activities into their core components depending whether or not firm buys (inputs) sells (outputs) and/or owns assets in a given country and extent to which influence different decisions. The results indicate that significantly affect MNCs. particular, found sustainable business matter when goods host nation. Additionally, show sustainability–degree internationalization relationship is crucial for MNCs have advanced economies relative those firms emerging markets. Our are robust alternative explanations.
